How do you deal with people who have mental health problems? Are they swept under the rug with all the other undesirables?

Wait… what? I’m not sure what you’re implying there. People with medical problems go to doctors who can help them. Then the doctors help them.

Has Etlu said something recently about killing sick people or pushing folks off cliffs or something? I mean I really try to be respectful of elders but… yeah, they are just scary.

Anyhow. I had a pretty frank discussion with the writer about mental health. It seems like human culture treats it as somehow magical or special? They kept telling me that I misunderstood but I really don’t think that I did. You have separate hospitals for mental health, like it’s some kind of separate thing.

Your brain is just part of your body. Sometimes it doesn’t work quite right. Through my lives, I’ve had a few bodies with mental quirks, although nothing serious. When it happens, it’s just another form of illness, though. Almost everyone who’s had enough lives will have experienced something serious and had to get some help for it. And this isn’t new knowledge, either.

I suppose when you’re stuck in a single body and that’s just all you get, it’s hard to have much perspective there. But that’s the reality of it.
